Revlon makeup haul

Alright, so I may have gone a little cray-cray in Boots the other day, but with this many Christmas offers going on right now it would be even more cray-cray to not take advantage of them and fill your makeup bag with goodies you might not have even known you need. I mean what’s a girl to do – risk of being left wanting? That’s “bah humbug” talk and I won’t stand for it.

Revlon ColorStay™ Foundation For Combination/Oily Skin – £12.99

I went in with the sole intention of picking up some Revlon ColourStay foundation because hey, everyone has been raving about it and even compared it to the legend that is Estee Lauder’s Double Stay. One of my favourite youtubers (this girl is a proper beauty queen pro y’all) Nikkia Joy also reviewed it recently and gave it a thumbs up so I had every reason to give this bad boy a go.

Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen – £6.99

Flow-through, felt-tip liquid eyeliner which I intend to use instead of my usual gel eyeliner on account of this product promising not to smudge or smear all day. I love the gel usually but because my face is so so oily it tends to smudge against my brow more often than not and I just want to see whether this beauty works any better.

Revlon Dramatic Definition™ Mascara – £9.99

This mascara promises a smooth, flexible formula that coats lashes for clump-free definition ensuring lashes appear endless. I’ve been a devoted fan of Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Luscious which retails a few quid cheaper at £7.99 but I thought well, in for a penny in for a pound and grabbed this to go as well.

PhotoReady Insta-Fix™ Highlighting Stick – £9.99

I’ve been loving Barry M’s Illuminating Strobe cream for a good while now but thought it wouldn’t really hurt to give this one a try. The colour looks very similar to the Barry M one and it feels creamy and blendable so it definitely couldn’t hurt to broaden my horizons when it comes to highlighters. Bring it!

Super Lustrous™ Lipstick in Sassy Mauve – £7.99

Since I fell in love with devilishly red Mega Matte Vice lippy from Urban Decay (714) I’ve been looking for a lippy for days (or nights out) when I’m not feeling the super in-your-face bold red. Like, sometimes it has to be big lips or big eyes, and if it’s a big eyes kind of an occasion then… well. I picked the sassy Mauve because it’s proper sassy but still a little more toned down. The texture is creamy and slick but it still has some stay-on power.

Nail Enamel in Vixen – £6.49

Boy this colour is insane. It’s purple and bold and lovely and hopefully it’ll be one of those nail polishes that will not chip when I go about my clumsy days. But the colour is the bomb.

I’ll report back once I’ve test driven all this haul. But it looks pretty hot, right?

  • Oh that lipstick colour is juuuust perfect! Now I’m actually thinking of buying it O:)

  • I love the colour of the lipstick and nail varnish. Winter perfect!

  • I haven’t tried the colour stay, as I’m a total double wear devotee but will definitely have to try it out! I struggle with felt tip liners as can never apply them properly but benefit’s they’re real eyeliner is an amazing combination because it has the precision of a pen but is a gel formula! Also love the shade of that lippy! x

  • I love the ColorStay foundation, I’ve been using it for a while now and it’s definitely one of the best drugstore ones around. X
