Welcome to the family, kittens

Happy Valentines Day y’all. Or for me, happy Kittens Day. You heard right, I am now a proud mommy of two rescue cats.

These two beauties came into my life by pure accident. My best friend and his wife used to attend this anti-fracking community protection camp in Borras, Wrexham, and for some reason, this specific camp became a refuge to a group of random animals. A few cats wandered in and made litters there, and they even housed a stray pig. But as the battle to stop the fracking of the grounds is coming to an end, all the animals needed a new home.

My friends let me know about the plight of these two little ones, as they needed to be homed together. The siblings were inseparable and everyone was worried that they would be parted.

Cue the cat-loving me and my ever suffering hubby who is more into dogs but is willing to let me have this brother-sister duo for love and fussing purposes. I could never separate two siblings so dependant of each other, and besides, if I could have had the whole litter of five I would have. I love all cats and I cannot lie.

So allow me to introduce you to the newest addition to our little family; Charlie and Sansa.

Charlie got his name from resembling someone hubby has a great amount of love for already; Charlie Chaplin. His whiskers and cheeks and his eyes make it so. Honest. Charlie is a little shy and resigning and his favourite thing seems to be to stuff himself to places far too small for his gorgeous self. I’m sure as time goes on he will get braver.

Sansa got her name from being a badass, beautiful, brave young lady like Sansa Stark. She is the complete opposite of her brothers, she’s boisterous, loud and excitable and she has no fear. She is full of lovings and wants cuddles and treats more than anything.

It’s only been a few days but I am so in love with these little furballs it’s unreal.

Welcome to the family, babies.
